MAC 060

After a recent assignment, one of my students mentioned she liked the Texture slider hard right to bring out the texture in hair and hard left to smooth skin. That gave me an idea. I found this photo and decided to play with the Texture slider in the Adjustment Brush. Then I started going overboard. I worked on eyes, lips, and skin flaws. I added grain for that ‘70s Penthouse look. None of this really matters though. Mac makes the picture.

MISCHA & MOSH 19

This was taken at the Zivity Photography Bootcamp. Looking at it today, I am amazed that I was able to shoot both of them let alone just being in the same room with them. Mischa and Mosh have that too-beautiful-to-look-at quality. They were both very cool and gracious. I wish I had booked a shoot or five with Mischa. We lived in the same area but I got busy with client work. During a break in the workshop, I asked them if I could get a souvenir photo and they said yes. I’m next to Mosh but I cropped myself out. If you look closely, you can see some of my hair in the frame. I thought it looked better with just the two of them and even better in black & white.

Today Adobe released a video showing a new color grading function to Lightroom and ACR. This was taken from the Lumetri controls in Premiere and will replace the split toning (duo toning to us elder folk) panel. As fate would have it, I’ve been doing more work with that panel and this is a welcomed upgrade. Here is a sample.

In commemoration of National Leg Wear Day, here is my entry. I hope leg warmers count. I’d hate for the National Leg Wear Day Commission to disqualify this. We all try so hard during the year to be part of this celebration. It would be devastating to be shut out. On another note, I think I got that ’70s Penthouse look in this photo.
